GLENDORA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team pulled off a 3-0 shutout at Citrus College after a non-conference road test on Friday evening. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (4-2-1) led by one at the halftime break thanks to a goal by Ace Espinoza and an assist from Joe Baro in the 32nd minute. They would double the deficit for the hosting Owls (2-4-1) in the 55th after Erick Jimenez assisted Robert Torres for his first goal of the season. Jimenez followed with a goal of his own in the 79th after a pass from Juan Bribiesca.
Hancock was outshot, 14-10, but proved to be more efficient with their attempts after placing seven tries on-target compared to Citrus' four. Max Brewster picked up the shutout victory in the box after collecting four saves through 90 minutes of play.
Up next for Coach Vinnedge's squad will be another non-conference contest at home on Friday against Glendale College, beginning at 4 PM.
