Inay was part of the core of freshman runners that helped the Hancock women’s cross country team qualify as a team for the 2017 Southern California Regional Championship for the first time in nine years. She ran cross country and track, as well as wrestled at Pioneer Valley High School. She finished third in the league finals and qualified for CIF in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles. Her fastest times were 16.63 seconds in the 100 and 47.84 in the 300. Inay also won the Central Coast Girl’s Wrestling Association Championship her senior year in the 116-pound weight class. The Panthers won four straight CIF wrestling championships.
